These wines are made from the varietals that we feel most reliably achieve our goals in terms of quality, quantity and ripeness. We look for consistent high quality and sufficient yields to ensure that our customers can count on finding these wines at most times of the year. If Malivoire had to survive on only five wines, these would be the ones.
2006 Pinot Gris
Delicate pink in colour, this vintage is strikingly fresh, lean and dry. Aromas include green apple, grapefruit rind and biscuit. Flavours of lemon and lime with a chalky minerality. more info
2006 Chardonnay (New)
Aromas and flavours abound suggesting pear, baked apply, grapefruit and orange zest. Well balanced, this wine is creamy with a crisp, long finish. more info
2006 Ladybug Rosé
Bright, fresh fruit salad aromas include white peach, honeydew melon, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, grapefruit and rhubarb. The palate is rich, clean and medium-bodied with flavours of strawberry, rhubarb, red currant and Granny Smith apple. A hint of sweetness up front makes way for a refreshingly dry finish. more info
2005 Gamay
Vibrant ruby colour; an intense nose of fresh, ripe bramble fruits followed by sweet cherry, vanilla and cedar on the palate. The finish leaves you with soft tannin, lively acidity and ripe black cherry. more info
2005 Pinot Noir
Impressive weight, balance and flavour intensity are evident. We find suggestions of strawberry, cinnamon stick, clove and almond on the nose. Dark cherry, black licorice and vanilla greet the palate. The texture is creamy, the finish long. more info
