Product Consultant
There is a reason you may sometimes see a Malivoire employee sitting on a bench outside our reception area.
In the summer of 2007 we made an important addition to our staff.
After twenty years as a teacher followed by twelve as a high school Principal, Mark Booth retired from the Toronto District School Board to embark on a new career. As a longtime wine enthusiast and collector, Toronto-born Mark had been caught up in the excitement surrounding Niagara’s emergence as a wine region. He wanted in. At the same time, Malivoire was looking for a way as a small winery to raise its standard of service to the Liquor Control Board of Ontario. Mark, a stalwart Malivoire customer since the winery’s earliest days, told us this was a task made for him, and we agreed.
With Mark now answering the bell, the LCBO now has a direct and consistent connection to Malivoire. On a typical day Mark may present a new wine for consideration as a future Vintages release, trouble-shoot the supply of our current releases, or answer technical questions from LCBO Product Consultants.
During his downtime Mark cooks for his family, enjoys music (especially jazz and rock classics) and practices guitar. He also ensures that we at the winery are not late for work and pay closer attention to our spelling and punctuation. Speaking of which, I’ve got an assignment to finish.
